Handmade vintage Moroccan berber rug from the Zayane tribe in the middle Atlas mountain range of Khénifra.
This berber wool rug has the traditional tribal diamond pattern and a range of symbols embedded in warm rusty earth and soil shades with details in green and purple.
All our eco-friendly rugs are completely unique and you will not find another one like this in the world. These carpets were most often not made to sell but for home use and the symbols express fertility, sexuality, survival, protection from evil, spiritual beliefs and the nature of rural and nomadic life in the Atlas mountains.
