Eco from the past is a Swedish interior design brand, specializing in vintage Moroccan berber rugs and Turkish nomad kelims. With a non-negotiable focus on quality and sustainability, our mission is to help customers create homes with personality and individual style while contributing to eco-friendly consumption and a more sustainable world.
”Rugs are such a key element in the perception of a beautiful room or a home. With that in mind it’s a mystery how few people really give it any serious thought. Every home has carpets and most people have them for a long time. So why not let handmade quality, natural organic materials and the ecological footprint be of importance when buying a rug. There are just unbelievable vintage design treasures out there, looking absolutely amazing - adding personality and soul to any contemporary home in a way a new rug could never do. Our job is to make these rugs available”, says founder Mathias Lidén when explaining the idea behind Eco from the past.
