They come from areas like Beni Ourain, Beni Mguild, Boujad, Azilal, Zayane and Beni Mrirt in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. The colors and patterns are a combination of traditional berber symbolism and the personal expressions of the woman who made the rug.
