Handmade vintage Moroccan berber rug from the Beni Mguild tribe in the Atlas mountains of the Meknes-Tafilalet region, situated in the north east of Morocco.

This berber wool rug has a tribal diamond pattern embedded in multiple layers of soft pink shades, light greens and beige nuances giving the rug a very contemporary feel.

All our eco-friendly rugs are completely unique and you will not find another one like this in the world. These carpet were most often not made to sell but for home use and the pattern tells the personal life story of the woman who made the rug. The symbols express fertility, sexuality, survival, protection from evil, spiritual beliefs and the nature of rural and nomadic life in the Atlas mountains.
